Willie earned his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his J.D. from Elon University School of Law.

Willie is licensed to practice in North Carolina, California, and the District of Columbia, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of North Carolina.
