S. Camille Payton
S. Camille Payton has handled hundreds of cases, both personal injury and workers’ compensation. Payton has built a reputation on providing personal service to each of her clients, always available to answer their questions and to try to solve their problems. A native of Kinston, Payton grew up in the eastern part of the state, where her first job was sweeping the floor of a tobacco barn. She was forced to quit after one day, however, when the dust aggravated her asthma. So, it was somewhat ironic when she ended up in a position in which her primary practice was helping those people exposed to dangerous substances at work – such as asbestos.
Ms. Payton is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1984 and graduated law school in 1993 from the University of Texas Austin. In addition to being licensed in North Carolina, Ms. Payton is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Western and Middle Districts in North Carolina.
“There are three steps in providing you with the best representation. First, listening to find out what’s most important to you. Second, planning, so we both know where your case is headed and why. Then executing, so we accomplish your goals for the case as deliberately and efficiently as we can. This is what more than 25 years as an attorney has taught me. I bring this commitment to every case.”
